Here's a bit of sneak peak of clinical at Macha Mission Hospital. There is one graphic picture, so proceed with caution if you don't have an iron stomach. This is the female ward. The nurses are so patient with us and I'm so thankful for the experience we're getting here.

Above: Zambia IV #1 for Emily = SUCCESS...after a failed attempt, but you win some, you lose some.

Above: The failed attempt. Ohhh I will never get angry at a nurse who has trouble starting an IV...they're tough.

Above: The women's ward...aka, zero privacy.

Above: A patient with a recent above the knee amputation...this woman hardly flinched at all when Kat changed her dressing. Her pain tolerance was unbelievable.

Above: This is me reconstituting benzyl-penicillin for the first time...Bethany told me to make a "first time reconstituting face"...this is it.

Above: Finding medications on this cart was like going on a scavenger hunt and having to give the prize away. I don't think I'd want to take Digoxin anyway.
